I read the instructions above:
Description
With an extended ('hacked') frequency range UV-B5 the settings tab remains empty (*).
After limiting the frequency range to one of the default ranges
the settings are read back as usual.
(*) I know, the extended range is not for TX but RX works just fine.

Please supply your saved .img file and a debug.log file.
