Description

I'm wanting to find out if my new radio is supported by any other baofeng software possibly before I attempt to plug in. I was hoping that someone could tell me if there was another model with the same firmware or something compatable with my mine. I look forward to a reply. thank you so much.
Dave...........

P.S. I checked radio and owners manual for any info that might help. there weere two things that came up . when holding down 3 or 6 and turning radio on it displays- 140925N ( possible firmware but not sure) and no.6 shows version BFP3-3.....

Dave,

A question such as this should have been asked in the CHIRP mailing list, not submitted as a bug.

If you look for BF-F9V2+ in the CHIRP Supported Radios list, which is located on the "CHIRP home/wiki page":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home, you can see that it (and a few other radios with 3 power levels) is just a variant of the Baofeng/Pofung BF-F8HP.

The "BF-F8HP section of the Miklor website":http://www.miklor.com/F8HP/ will answer you programming software question.
