Description
descargo chirp ultima version, instalo pc, sale pantalla Error reporting is enabled If you wish to disable this feature you may do so in the Help menu ok....
procedo a darle ok , el programa chirp no se inicia, no arranca , no tengo acceso a el no se instala nada
mando debug log ,
Jim unroe, dice que el bug 5079 es rechazado , pero instalo ultima version chirp daily 20170714, y sigo teniendo el mismo problema

It sounds like you may have a problem with a corrupt chirp.config file. This file is stored in the same folder as the debug.log file. Rename the chirp.config file to something else and then start CHIRP. When there is no chirp.config file, CHIRP will create a new one. If this fixes the problem, please attach the renamed chirp.config file to this issue so a developer can take a look at it.

Also make sure there are no special characters in the name of your Windows user. If there are, you will have to rename your Windows user or create a Windows user that has no special characters and run CHIRP under that user account.

Impossible to run chirp, chirp.config file does not appear for any site, rename debug, create another one with debug, open chirp and still give me the problem,
I do not have special characters in my name, I installed chirp some time ago, but I had to format hard disk and no longer installs itself ...
I leave it as impossible ....

install latest version of chirp on the same pc with guest account and works perfectly without problems
I installed chirp last version on the same pc but with the administrator account, there are no special characters, there is nothing weird all the same as in the same guest account and it does not work, I look at chirp and the file chirp.config does not appear by any side
install chir on two computers apart with the same data and administrator accounts and work perfectly (w7)
my question to what may be due?

I'm closing this ticket, because it has to do with the operating system and the way it was set up in this specific case. I'm pretty sure it wasn't an issue caused by Chirp itself; possibly it's a Python issue. Furthermore, Windows 7 is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
