CHIRP 0.2.0 Released!

Lots of fixes and new features
Added by Dan Smith over 5 years ago

With this version of CHIRP, the version numbering is moving to incrementing the minor version number for each formal release, and will use the revision number for subsequent builds where fixes are backported from the development tree. This will allow fixes (not features) to be communicated to the stable build more often.

Major changes in this version include:
  • A new CSV parser that tolerates quoted fields and commas in the values
  • Polish and Italian translations
  • Updated Python and GTK versions for the Win32 build
  • Native quartz GTK on MacOS
  • 220MHz repeater offset calculation
  • A redesigned internal bank model capable of supporting banks on Yaesu radios
  • Bank support for:
    • Yaesu VX-7
    • Yaesu VX-8
    • Yaesu FT-7800
  • New drivers for:
    • Alinco DR-06, DR-03
    • Icom ID-31A, IC-7000
    • Kenwood TH-F7E
    • Yaesu FT-817, FT-857, FT-897
  • Stock configurations for easy importing of common frequencies or local frequency plans
  • Comment support for drivers that support it (CSV)
  • Improved support for canceling in-progress clone operations
  • Automatic probing of available COM ports on Win32
  • High-speed cloning support on certain Icom radios
  • The usual large number of bug fixes
