Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the ping here, this looks like 2 issues are going on here, one I didn't know about. The issue I didn't realize is that latest/edge seems to revert back to the last successful build even if I had previously set it to the last working build manually. I'll take this issue up with Canonical on their forums. In the meantime I'll revert the snapcraft.yml so it builds CHIRP daily-20221217 so that becomes the latest build for latest/edge.

The other issue is that I can't use the gnome 3 snap extension with python and the snap developers haven't made any progress on a fix for this yet. [1] [2] I tried tweaking the old snap recipe but to no avail.

  1. https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/core22-gnome-extension-and-broken-symlinks/32900
  2. https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/python-plugin-gnome-3-38-extension-error/33396/4

So with the above said, I've reverted the recipe in my github repo, and ensured that a new snap has built and been published and launched a VM to confirm that it works again. I'll get chirp-snap on the chirp-next codebase as soon as the snap developers fix their gnome 3 extension or I figure out how to tweak the old gnome 2 recipe for gnome3.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Tony
