openChirp not loading from TYT TH-9800

Running Windows 11 on dell i7 2TB SSD, 64GB memory
Fresh install of latest Chirp
Initial download from TYT TH-9800
Failed to communicate with the radio: NAKed block
No radio image downloaded

Are you sure you are plugged into the correct port on the radio? I has a similar issue with a TYT TH-8600. I was plugging my programming cable into the mic port. I was mistakenly thinking that it was a dual/purpose port like many other radios that I have used. I finally realized that the data port was on the side of the radio. Once I started using the correct, all was good.

Data starts to download, but it stops with the NAKed fault randomly
between the beginning and 1/3 of the way through. I think the fault
needs to be analyzed to see what throws that error.
Sounds like a timeout on an expected acknowledgment???
Port on radio is correct and fully engaged :
