Description

I have new Baofeng K5 Plus radio (FW V0.17, HW V01). In menu is on position 43 option for "On power on password" - there is no option in Chirp to change it. In radio is no option for change factory password (000000). Any idea? If you need any additional info, please ask.

I have a small feature request. I want to be able, to update only channel list, not settings. Or just be able to update settings in currently opened image (not create new file). It's possible to add this function?

Many thanks for help, and many thanks for this famous SW :)

Save an image from the radio in its current state and attach it to this ticket.
Use the OEM software to change the password to something else.
Save an image from the radio with the new password.
Don't forget to mention what the password is in each image (tip: include it in the image's filename).

Hi Jim.

I'm surprised that my bug report was sent, because CHIRP tell me, that bug report/file uploading was failed.

It's absolutelly weird, that there is no possibility to change factory password - nothing is in radio and in OEM SW too. I was downloaded OEM SW directly from Baofeng site. For this radio is available SW T6UV Series. Please see attached images. One with on power password on, and off.

Many thanks!

Tomas

You didn't file this bug through chirp, so I'm not sure what "failed" you might be referring to.

As Jim said, we need to know what the password is set to on the radio, not just if it is on or off. I see a few bits flipped in your image which might make further determination difficult, but knowing what the password is will be required.
