I read the instructions above:
Description
When I try to download the date from my Alinco dr-135T I get an error message stating, "Failure to communicate: Radio returned less than 16 bits." Can anyone suggest a way to correct this problem.

Michael,
If your programming cable has a Prolific based USB-to-serial chip, it may not be compatible with the driver that is automatically installed with Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1. You will most likely have to downgrade to the Prolific v3.2.0.0 driver.
