Description
The use of Marine, FRS and GMRS frequencies is illegal on most, if not all models supported by CHIRP. It is well known that CHIRP allows users to quickly load for purposes of transmitting on these frequencies. It is requested, in order to facilitate legal operation, these frequencies be removed from the data source.

It is legal to receive these frequencies in virtually all jurisdictions.
Most radios supported by Chirp prohibit out of band transmission unless illegally modified. For everything else, it is advised to set duplex to "off".
