Description
- I downloaded the installer for the latest (Windows)version, and my Anti-Virus protection caught and quarantine the executable:
mcgrath.john
Security Risk 1 09/14/2018 08:56:29 Default
C:\Users\mcgrath.john\Downloads\chirp-daily-20180906-installer.exe
- Was not expecting the downloader to be infected or quarantined!
- This is reproducible as of 0917 EST.
- Download the daily version from: https://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/
- N/A
Thank you!

Hi John,
Your antivirus software is not actually saying that chirp is or contains malware. It's saying it doesn't know what it is and is being overly conservative by quarantining it. Here's a link to what your software is telling you:
https://www.symantec.com/security-center/writeup/2010-051308-1854-99
There isn't really anything we can realistically do about this, so the solution is to change your anti-virus software to not quarantine things it doesn't know about.

Thanks for the update.
I would rather be conservative about this, than have an issue downstream.
Thank you for your quick response.
