Description
I realize that although this version sold by R&L Electronics is not supported nor any of the other variants of the UV-5R. However, I did discover that the one listed under Radioddity does in fact work. I have downloaded my UV-5R 3 Band, added 220 repeaters, which is currently the main complaint, and was able to program it back with the changes. And even though this is not a true fix nor the proper venue to report this discovery, I thought I'd at least let someone know so that others can benefit from it

I realize that although this version of the UV-5R Tri-Band radio which is sold by R&L Electronics is not currently supported by Chirp nor any of the other variants of the UV-5R listed. However, I did discover that the UV-5RX3 listed under Radioddity does in fact work. I have downloaded my UV-5R 3 Band, added 220 repeaters, which is currently the main complaint, and was able to program it back with the changes. And even though this is may not a true fix nor the proper venue to report this discovery, I thought I'd at least let someone know so that others can benefit from it as a work-around.
