CHIRP

The new(?) repeaterbook.com feature to download a CHIRP formatted .csv file of repeaters (location/proximity search, for example) fails with the error "unknown format" when I try to import it into CHIRP.

The problem is that the last 4 columns apparently required by CHIRP (URCALL,RPT1CALL,RPT2CALL,DVCODE) are missing from the downloaded .csv file.

As an experiment, I added those column names to the .csv file and added 4 commas to each repeater spec and the import worked fine.

While the "error" is clearly that repeaterbook.com does not provide those columns in their CHIRP format file, it seems to me that CHIRP could be somewhat less pedantic about which columns are "required", especially when there is no data available from repeaterbook.com for those columns.
