Description

I am trying to download to my radio.I brought up the box that says port then vendor and then model. The drop down box by port has nothing on it and I don't know what to type in there so it comes back with an error message saying the port isn't reconized and that is undoubtedly because there is nothing there. What do I need to put in that area.
Thank You

This isn't a Chirp bug, nor a Feature or New Model request.
This is a question best asked on the "mailing list":http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users.
You might get (much) quicker feedback there.

We'll leave this open for a short while.

With CHIRP you don't "download to your radio".

Download: Radio -> CHIRP
Upload: CHIRP -> radio

If the Port list has no entries, then your computer has no serial ports available for CHIRP to list. This is most likely caused by not a device driver installed that is compatible with your programming cable. More advice could be provide if you would mention which operating you are using.
