Description

I have observed that the red U/V (UHF/VHF) flag does not appear on the radio's display on a Duplex = (None) programmed channel.
This can be circumvented by programming a given channel to Duplex = split and CHIRP conveniently matches the Tx frequency with the Rx frequency.
My impression is that this is a firmware bug rather than a CHIRP issue. If I read from the device with the current factory CPS, then write back to the device, the issue remains unless the equal simplex workaround had previously been applied.

Hi Tony,

With the caveat that I'd never seen this until you pointed it out, I think that's the correct behaviour!

Looking in the manual for for both the AT778UV and the CRT Micron that indication is labelled "Displays when main channel offset function is on" and "Displays when sub-channel offset is on".

I see '+' displayed when the offset is positive, '-' when the offset is negative, 'u' when the current frequency (rx or tx) is in the UHF band, and 'v' when the current frequency (rx or tx) is in the VHF band.

What do you think the behaviour should be?
