Not all radios support disabling TX on a per-channel basis. Are you able to disable TX using the factory programming software? If yes, then program 2 channels using the factory software, both identical except for one being TX disabled. Then download from the radio with CHIRP and save it to a CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file and attach it to this issue.

Hi Jim, I felt that may be the case and it will be reported (as confirmed) to the Radioddity Development Team. Sorry to waste your time on this. I needed to know if it was a shortcoming in the CPS, or Firmware/Hardware. The Radio only offers None, and the CPS handles it by having entries for RX and TX frequency. Neither Duplex or RX Only fields are offered. I believe it could be cured by more intuitive Firmware but is not a firmware updatable radio as far as I can tell. Although it appears to be UV-5R based, and the option is accepted there, it has not been made available on the GS-5B. Thank you for the time and consideration.

David,
With most factory CPS I have used for these Chinese radios, there is no actual setting to disable TX. TX is disabled by leaving the TX frequency field blank.
