Bug #8643
closedProblem: Field must be exited for data to be accepted during save
0%
Description
This is not a big problem, if you're aware of it. The problem is that on the settings page, after entering data in the 'Power-On Message 2' field, I saved my file, but the data was not saved into the file. After experimenting, I learned it is necessary to exit a field, before saving, for the data to be accepted. So, with a simple press of the [Tab], before saving, the problem is solved. Nevertheless, this behavior is outside of norms.

The same is true when selecting values in the spreadsheet style memory editor. You must either press the [Enter] key or click on another cell to make the selection 'stick'. It is just second nature for me to click into another cell or field when editing in Windows. This is not required when CHIRP is running under Linux or macOS.

I think this isn't really a Chirp problem, but rather one of the operating system.
