<p>CHIRP won't be able to download from the radio until you resolve your issue with the programming cable.</p>

<p>Yes, Jim was right about the Vendor/Model to use, all good now. A Google search prior to this issue creation had failed to show that gem and I would have never guessed to try Radioddity models. Hopefully Google will index this issue for future BF-X9 owners. I guess an alias could be added to a future version of chirp or a note added to the supported radio list.</p>
<p>From my perspective we can close off this issue.</p>
