I have a Radtel Rt-590. It use the same software and program as the Quansheng UV K5. This could be added to the website.

Sacha, I can read the factory saved frequencies, but I cannot write to the radio. When I save the factory frequencies, they are saved as a .img file, when I try to save my frequency list it will not recognise that the TR-590 is connected.
Any clues?

First I plug into the radio, then I switch the radio and upload the frequencies The led of rx and tx will be blue. Sometimes you need to press the ppt and turn on and the white led will be on and works. Not always the same.

Ptt while turning on, this switches the radio to firmware update mode (flashlight diode lights up). To read & write settings with CHIRP, do not press PTT while turning the radio on, the blue diode should go out the moment radio is switched on, and the radio should boot normally. Else you have slightly incompatible cable. If the radio does not boot and the blue diode still shines instead, try to disconnect and reconnect the USB plug.
