CHIRP

Hello, I noticed that the Yaesu_FT-8900 test status for CHIRP next is "Implied by Yaesu_FT-8800" so I thought I'd chime in to report that I've been using CHIRP next on my recently-acquired FT-8900 without any issues for several cycles of cloning in/out, even before I realized that it did not have a definite "tested OK" status. It's unfortunate that it isn't able to edit settings etc. like the FT-7800 driver can (I also own one of those) but just being able to populate hundreds of memories in a newly-acquired radio in the space of a few minutes is a lifesaver. Thanks so much for CHIRP and all of your hard work! I have five radio models that don't have a username in the "Tester" column so I've been digging them and their sync cables out and trying to do my own small part to give back to the project by passing along test reports for them. 73!
