Description

I guess this is a confirmation of Bug #883. Working with a yaesu 8900 and the AM & NFM modes are reversed. In other words, when reading a memory that is programmed in the radio as NFM, the app reports that it is an AM mode memory channel. To write a NFM memory, you have to specify AM mode in the app. Alternatively, to write an AM mode aircraft freq for example, you must specify NFM. When you read a memory channel that, in the radio, is an AM mode channel, the app reports it as an NFM mode channel. Not a big deal but it's there.

Very nice app, saved me a lotta time :) Would be nice if the csv import/export included the Power field because right now, it defaults to "Hi" which is a problem if you run the radio into an external amplifier and you have a hundred repeaters in memory :) BTW, I used a US Interface Navigator with the CIV lines tied up to the PTT line at the radio and it worked fine.

Can you store one AM channel, from FM channel, and one NFM channel with the radio, then post your .img file here? It's very important that you store these with the controls on the radio so that I can verify the bits Yaesu intended without interference from Chirp. Be sure to tell me what is where in your .img.

One topic per issue please. You can select all 100 channels, right click, choose Edit, and set power for all channels in one step.

Ok, tnx and sorry for getting out of control. Here's an image file.

Memory ch 001 stored 146.52 AM mode (receive - which only works on the left side of the radio).
Memory ch 002 stored 146.58 NFM mode.

Both used the radio to store them, ch 001 comes up in FM by default and I manually used the radio to set AM mode on. Ch 002 was changed and stored at the radio from FM to NFM mode.

Hope that's what you were asking for. If not, let me know.
