This is an inexpensive Part 90 radio (from wouxun.us) that is better than the Baofeng/Pofung UV-82c.
The major holdup with recommending this for my statewide group is lack of Chirp programming. I started the process of sniffing the upload/download programming but haven't made much progress.
I have a unit that can be borrowed.

I have an Anytone 3208UV that I can lend (located in the US) if someone needs to borrow it. Would really like to see this added to Chirp as the OEM software is pretty poor (no sorting, import/export).
