Description

I notice this radio is mentioned in the "CableGuide" page, however it doesn't seem to be supported (yet). It appears to be a "live" unit, as the windows configuration tool lets you change the memory names, which then instantly appear on the radio's LCD.

I can't ship you one to work with but if you like, I can setup a system for developer(s) to SSH into and let you mess around with mine. Including wine and a VirtualBox with XP and the windows config tool, so you may spy on the USB conversation.

I've not been able to get the Icom software (v2.2) working under wine, however winehq reports that someone was able to with v1.0. I haven't tried really hard, as I already had a VirtualBox with XP available to me, however cumbersome.

The radio connects fine under Linux via USB, coming up as /dev/ttyUSB0 with serial port emulation.
