Description

Recently purchased the Anytone AT-778 (not UV) model mobile radio. I'm trying to use a proper cable with the FTDI chip installed properly in windows. I'm unable to interact with the radio, so far tried all the Anytone models in the latest version of CHIRP.

Happy to help in any way to get this supported. I can't even find official Anytone software for it!

Just found the stock software that works. It detects the radio as a AT-778U.

Its truly terrible software!

Update on the cable.

The FTDI cable i originally posted is for the AT-778UV. I thought my original cable was a prolific counterfeit so i purchased it to test.

I re-tested the original cable i purchased with the Anytone software above. It works.
