Description

Python was recently updated for version 3.12. The Pyside2 module won't build on my arch system. I understand that pyside2 only works with up to Python 3.11. If true, it'll be a widespread problem. I do have pyside6 but chirp won't run. Fixes in the works? Thanks.

I don't think that pyside2 is in our dependency chain, at least that I know of. Where do you think that requirement is coming from?

FYI, I'm running chirp under python 3.12 locally without a problem.

My apologies, it isn't. (How do you determine python dependencies?) I illogically tied the pyside2 build problem with chirp not running. I ran chirp from the terminal and could see that python-yattag didn't exist (at least not in a way python3.12 could deal with it. I reinstalled/rebuilt that, as I had to do with other AUR programs needing python, and chirp runs fine now. Thanks for the quick response and the lead on the solution.
