Description

When programming this radio with Chirp, current version, the radio programs fine but the radio display shows the programmed frequency incorrectly. If I import your list of GMRS frequencies and then program the radio with them the radio then displays those frequencies incorrectly. See below:

Programmed Frequency: 462.725 in Chirp
Displayed Frequency in radio: 462.722

Don't know if this is a Chirp issue or radio issue. Ideas?
Chirp v0.4.1

Thanks,
Don

Chirp 0.4.1 is almost ten years old. Surely you're not really on that version...right?

Well, that's the version I downloaded from the internet. Are you saying that this issue is fixed in the current version?

No, I'm saying 0.4.1 is so old it's not even worth discussing until you've tried a version from this decade. Where on "the internet" did you download 0.4.1? TBH, I'm not even sure the T8A was supported when 0.4.1 was released. Are you sure Help->About shows 0.4.1?

Got it from Hamfiles I believe. And yes, that what help about shows. I now have the current version so will try that.

This may have been fixed in 2016 by 9715a166af11d668c16bf98f291267ff3efc062d so trying a modern version may fix it.

Ok, I now have CHIRP daily-20221217 so will give that a try tomorrow and advise. I looked at the other post you provided and that sounds like the issue so I will try and advise.

Thanks for the help.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

Glad to hear it, thanks. I'll reject this just because it wasn't a new bug.
