Description

Are there any plans to add the Baofeng BF-88ST Pro to the list of supported radios?

Usually a volunteer developer needs physical access to a radio and the factory programming software to do the reverse engineering. I've done quite a few Baofeng radios, but I usually have to wait until a user or dealer generously donates one.

With a little luck, there might be a possibility that physical possession of a BF-88ST/BF-88ST PRO won't be required. To determine this, my questions would be...

1 What is the difference between the BF-88ST and BF-88ST PRO?
2 Have you tried to read/download from the radio using the Vendor: Baofeng / Model: BF-888 selections?

Jim,

The difference between the BF-88St and the BF-88St PRO is the Pro has a LCD display. I have tried the vendor software for BF-888S and that doesn't work, I did also find a vendor software for the BF-88ST and that doesn't work either.it fails at the handshake. Any suggestions appreciated.
