closedYaesu FT-7100 reads once, but fails to upload

Description
I have two FT-7100s and in both cases I was able to download the image on the first attempt. However, once I attempt to upload an image to it (which always fails due to a missing ACK) I no longer can download from that radio. It just indicates a failure on the radio and a block error in Chirp. Interestingly, the same thing seems to have happened to my 8100R as well. I am using the USB-29B serial adapter for the connection.

I made a note on this a few months back on https://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/4591 and looks like I'm not alone.

Let's keep all the discussion and data points in one place, please. I'm going to lose this as a dupe of that one
But yeah, I don't have a 7100 or know anyone that does, so until/unless there's someone with one that wants to work on it, there's not much that can be done, unfortunately :/
