I will check with Chirp on my mac as soon as I get the cable. I just asked since I do not see listed the Quansheng UV 5R model.
Has anyone tried Chirp with the Quansheng UV 5R model and knows that it works fine?

With Quansheng UV5R plus, I get "Header short read" error message. The same cable works fine with Baofeng radios.
