Description

please allow lowercase letters and other alphanumeric characters like "!@#$%&*()+-=[]:\";'<>?,./" in Radtel RT-490 and similar models, like Jianpai 8800 etc. By now, those are allowed by OEM software and the radios themselves, but CHIRP issues warning messages (as included) every time one tries to change any setting in a channel spreadsheet downloaded from the radio, which was previously programmed from OEM software. I'm quite sure nobody submitted this issue about this particular radio before but there were many analogous issues about other radio models. So please treat this as a generic and general issue. Now I did as You wished at the end of #9665. Thank You.

I know that lower case characters were permitted in some previous version. Attached are two screen captures. First one, labeled "channels 48 to 52 source lower case.jpg" shows that at some time, I was able to have lower case characters. I cut-and-pasted one of the channels to a different slot and the name is all upper case now.

So I think this has to be an added bug. See files attached.
