Description
Would like to see the ability to expand frequency beyond GMRS to HAM or all UHF. This is a well built radio and would be nice mobile rig if it could be programmed by CHIRP without it being locked to GMRS. I will donate a radio to keep for any developer who can make this happen!

I am told the radio is based on a RDA1846S walkie-talkie on a chip and Me32F031C8t6 32 bit microcontroller with embedded ARM Cortex M0 core.

All I really want to do is remove the logic in the software that is keeping this unit Type Accepted - ie. bypass whatever prohibits transmit on certain channels (8-14) and prohibits higher power use on certain channels (1-7).

But in a perfect world also be able to input any UHF freqiency within its capabilities.
