CHIRP

I have a UV-R5 with a "real" USB <-> Serial Baofeng-brand cable (Prolific 2032 chip). I am able to sucessfully use Chirp for my Raspberry Pi (Debian), works just fine.

However, not so on my Mac. The USB <-> Serial interface is not showing up in Chirp, but it does show up in System Report on my iMac (OS X, 10.8.5). I've tried connecting it directly to one of the internal USB ports on the back, as well a on a powered USB hub. Neither works for me.

I have seen the thread on having a good, solid connection to the radio and the USB port, and I'm pretty sure I do. Any help is appreciated.
