I select OK on Chirp and then press left V/M on the 8800. I get "error" on Chirp and on the radio. It leaves the radio in transmit mode until I reset the clone mode.

I'm not sure how this got ignored for so long. My apologies.

Are you still seeing this in the current daily build?

Thank you for responding. Apparently my cable supplier is not reputable. The I/Y cd does not contain a driver for the 8800 as claimed.

Does this mean that things are working for you now and/or you think the issue is not related to chirp?

Thanks!

The problem is finding a cable and driver.

Okay, I recommend cables from KawaMall and Valley Enterprises. Not sure where yours came from...

Anyway, I'll go ahead and close this and you can re-open if you find a cable and think there's still a problem.

Thanks!
