Bug #1459
closedICOM IC-W32A - CP2102 USB to UART - Mac OSX 10.9.1 - Download from radio fine, Upload to radio fails
0%
Description
I'm running Chirp natively on OSX - no virtualization. I am able to download data from the radio without any issue, but uploads always fail. When I select the "Upload to Radio" menu option, the upload progress bar goes immediately to 100%. Then my radio displays slowly steps thorough 0 - E, once it's hit's "E", the error message pops up on Chirp stating "An error has occurred - Failed to communicate with the radio: Did not get close result from radio. The radio display shows "E" and "CL IN".
I did not load any special drivers for the USB interface although I did load the SiLabs UART device driver for the CP2102 - http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx - MAC OSX v3.1. Im selecting the /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART port in the Chirp application. (before loading the SiLabs driver, I could see that the OS recognized the USB device, but the UART did not show up in the port list of Chirp).
This behavior happens every time on both the stable version (0.3.1) and the daily - 20140206 build.
Thanks,
Glenn
