This is mostly expected behavior for 0.2.2 and OS X. The only difference is you should see a blank gray window, and menu bar across the top of the screen (not white).

Tried last daily which reports Python is not installed in an X11 error message.

Similar issue to another user running earlier OS X, started new issue as Python does run.

This sounds identical to #153. Any more details you can provide would be helpful. None of the developers have been able to reproduce this.

Chirp running today with empty white window, top-bar menu functioning.

Noting the "empty white window" I reported - I mean empty as in nothing in it, no Chirp controls, nada, nothing as in not working.

Is that normal? 8)

The window is empty until you create a new CSV file (Cmd-N), open a saved file, or download from a radio. You do these via the menu bar.
