Description

Hi,

I'm using Windows 8.1 PRO.
I downloaded CHIRP windows installer and installed.
When i clicked CHRIP shortcut, it sends an error (Error reporting is enabled, If you wish to disable this feature you ay do so in the Help menu) and shutting downs application. I never see program's main windows. Just see error popup.

I tried re-installing, running application with admin permissions but i cant fix problem.

Thank a lot.

A new Windows 8 feature is "SmartScreen" which may block CHIRP from loading. If this occurs, SmartScreen can be disabled by: Open "Windows Action Center" and "Change Windows SmartScreen" settings.

Do you have any special characters in the user account name that your are using to run CHIRP? I seem to remember that being a problem. If you do, you might try creating a user account that just has the standard 26 upper and lower case letters and give that a try.
