Description

Experimented and followed another users info and extended range to 512mhz. Works fine except can't assign CTCSS to new range.....After playing I did a scan CTCSS on 482.5875 and received the correct CTCSS and squelch opened. But it won't let you save the CTCSS in the frequency memory location. Possibly hard coded on chip..dont know.

This is not hard-coded in chirp. With the extended range, CHIRP will let you set the squelch tone to anything you want, and it stores that in the memory image. If the radio does not honor that value over some frequency, then there's nothing CHIRP can do about it. Let me know if this doesn't make sense.
