Description

I want to see if I (or someone else) can create the support for this UHF Radio. I am going to attend to read from the radio first using CHIRP and saving the screen images as I go along. Later with some help, attend to write to it if I can. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I will like to try and make the files for this radio unless it is a generic Kenwood thing...

Hi Javier,

You'll want to check out the [Developers] page and join the developer's mailing list. No kenwood commercial rigs have been supported in chirp as of yet, so you may be blazing a trail here, but it's not likely to be that difficult. Ask for help on the list and we'll offer it where we can.

Thanks!

I have a TK-805D I'd like to program with chirp.
I'm willing to test if/when this support is added (assuming this post is for the 80x series?).
