Description

daily-build: chirp-daily-20150702.tar.gz

Yaesu FT1Dx has memory locations that may contain strings. Lengths that are too long (or umlauts in the name) make the function of the transmitter unpredictable.
in my case: "send beacon" at APRS, activated the transmitter, but did not send any data and keyed it continuously (the transmitter could only be reset by removing the battery)
by comparison with a recorded backup, this was clearly caused by the storage locations.

sorry for writing in german ... :(

daily-build: chirp-daily-20150702.tar.gz

YEASU TF1Dx it is possible to name BANK an MEMORY with strings. if length of string exceeds fieldsize (maybe also the usage of a german umlaut) makes function an behaviour of the YAESU device unpredictable.
in my case: function: "send APRS beacon" activates the transmitter but doesn't send any data and stays uninterruptable sending a carrier. reset is available only by removing the battery

by comparing configuration with a working backup it was the naming that causes the issue.
