CHIRP

Followed the U-tube video, and I still can not get it to program. The program book say's, that the program cord plugs in the front and, have read that it, is on the back of the radio and neither one works. My radio was sent with a CD and cable, and I have set-up the frequency's on the chart and NOTHING. It keeps on saying, that it doesn't recognized the frequency's so it will not send to radio. Not trying to be or sound dumb, but I might not be a computer programmer, but I have set-up other radios just like this with a CD and cable. Any help would be great!!!!
