Description
Hi Dan!
I can select the Hungarian language, but there is no effect. By the Install (on Win7) there is not exist hu.po, only "mo" file in the Locale folder.
Thanks.
Best regards: Attila

Hi Attila,
The .po file is not needed, the .mo is the compiled version, and is all that is required.
Do the other languages work?

Okay, I just checked on Windows and I see that Hungarian does not work, but the others do. It does work on Linux, by the way :D
I'll take a look...

Hi Dan!
On my Linux doesn't work too! Which distribution have you got? I have Ubuntu 12.14. And some points of menu are Hungarian, but not at all.
I have an idea! If I change the language by other programs (i.e. QBittorrent), often word 'Magyar' is in the list instead of 'Hungarian'. May be about this bug?
Hungarian = Magyar on our language...
Thanks.

Fixed in r1817.
You may still see some untranslated strings in things like the menu File->New, which are stock items from GTK. In order for those to be translated, I think you need to make sure that the base language is installed on your system and that LANG=hu in your environment.
The language name "Hungarian" is just used in CHIRP, not the actual translation code, which uses the language code ("hu" in this case).
