Description

I have also used this radio model profile to program UV-5RTP radios, in the past. Today it no longer seems to work. I get a "Incorrect 'Model' selected" error message. Firmware showing is: Message 1- HN5RV01, Message 2 - 1FB297

Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately Baofeng has been recently programming firmware the UV-5RTP (a radio that has 3 power levels) so that they identify themselves to CHIRP as being radios that has 2 power levels. You will have to select UV-5R to program it.

Same FW (HN5RV01/1FB297), same problem. CHIRP daily-20161208.
Choosing UV-5R in Chirp works almost fine, only not able to set low power.
Currently "low" in Chirp is "middle" in HT, and "middle" is "high".

Any chances to get this device recognized properly by Chirp (and set power levels)?
Can send default memory dump if needed.
