I would suspect that the connection between the radio and computer is not working. If your programming cable has a Prolific chip in it, then the driver that is installed by Windows is not compatible. You will have to download, install and select the older Prolfic v3.2.0.0 driver. See this "USB Cables and Drivers":http://www.miklor.com/COM/UV_Drivers.php page for a link to the driver and instructions for getting it installed.

Bonjour,

j'ai exactement le même problème avec un GT-3TP MARKIII, malgré le bon driver v3.2.0.0 il est reconnu par CHIRP comme un UV-5R.

Mon firmware: HN5RV01 1FP3-25 160328N

Hi David,

This is because someone is having Baofeng put a firmware version in these radios with 3 power levels that has typically been used only for radios that have 2 power levels.

Please attach your downloaded CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file and I will see if I can develop a workaround.
