Description

Could I please request support for the Baofeng BF-T88? It is apparently an upgraded BF-888S.

I can successfully read from the radio using BF-888 settings. However, CHIRP doesn't let me program it between 470-480MHz, which it apparently supports.

I am happy to test any solution.

Regards,
Roger.

Which factory software does it use. Does the factory software let you program within this range. What does the label under the battery show. The factory BF-888 software that I have only goes up to 470 MHz and the label on my BF-888 shows 400-470 MHz.

Hello Jim,

Thanks for the response.

The seller sent me a link to BF-480Plus software, purportedly version 12.07.30. However, I can't get this software to talk to the radio. I can get Chirp to read from the radio so I know that the USB-serial cable is working. I can't try the other BF-480Plus links on www.baofengradio.com because it's down at the moment.

The label behind the battery shows 400-480MHz. I have attached a picture.

Regards,
Roger.
