Description
Hello there are two bugs/questions I'd like to bring up.
1.In CHIRP the Yaesu VX-6R is listed as VX-6, it is my understanding that the VX-6 and VX-6R are both programmed the same by chirp so I suggest for clarity it would be best to display the option as VX-6(R) so that new users understand that both models work in CHIRP. (It's also somewhat confusing to new users that on the main page (http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home) the VX-6R is listed but in CHIRP the radio is listed as VX-6.
2.Disabling/preventing transmission: I have a UV-5R that I program with CHIRP and for channels that I absolutely don't want to transmit on (local sheriff and police freq) I set duplex to (off) or set the split to 0.0 or 1666. I can't seem to find a way to get this to work with the VX-6R. In CHIRP it doesn't let you set Duplex to (off) or Split to 0.0 or 1666.66. Is this due to the programming on the HT or is this just a feature CHIRP is missing for this model?

- Target version set to chirp-legacy
- Model affected changed from VX-6R to Yaesu VX-6R
Regarding item 1: the "R" indicates that the radio version was released for Region 2 (Americas), as opposed to VX-6E for Region 1 (Europe).
Regarding 2: does the radio let you disable transmit by specification? If it doesn't, then there's nothing Chirp can do. Let us know!

To disable transmit on stored memory channels for the VX6R, set Duplex to split , and then set Offset to 900.000 . The radio will flash Error and not transmit.
