Description

I'm having trouble finding software to program my TH-UV8000SE. Are there any plans to incorporate it into the CHIRP family in the near future. At this time I must manually input all frequencies. Thnk You

I have 2 of these radios for our county Emergency Operations Center. I also have 6 of the TYT UV8000D's (w/crossband repeat and 4 or 5 TYT UV8000D's. The factory programming software is horrible and these 8-10 Watt radios are great for APRS/packet or temporary crossband repeat. They are vital to our EOCs mission, but such a pain to program.
I am willing to give one of each of these to the Chirp team for development of software.

Try the TH-UV8000D/E driver. I don't have access to an SE model to verify it's details.

The CHIRP driver for the TYT TH-UV8000D/E has been released. It should perform 95% of the SE functions. Please try it with your SE version and let me know what needs an update. The only thing I know for sure is that the 220MHz freq range disable function is greyed out. Please send me a downloaded img file if you can.
