not sure if bug... but need help

Description

Okay i have 3 computers only one of them does chirp work on windows 7
below is list of computers with OS

desktop windows 7 ultimate sp1
laptop windows 7 ultimate sp1 .. i have installed windows 10 on separate hard drive and it worked normal!
download laptop windows 7 ultimate

desktop & laptop will not query from repeater book however my download machine will instantly like it should I am confused on what the deal is and why it wont load from my desktop or laptop that's not for downloading.
following programs installed on all computers is

  1. network frame 4.5
  2. java 8 update 144
  3. Microsoft visual c plus plus
  4. chirp newest build daily

Nothing Ive done will make chirp work on the desktop or laptop i don't understand! please help & thanks!!

leaving for a trip soon and would like to avoid downloading all counties before i leave so don't get confused or have any left out on 3000mile drive

No more feedback by submitter.
Two possibilities come to mind:
1) there is a non-standard character (accented letter, umlaut, non-latin character) in the program path to Chirp. Re-locate Chirp.
2) Chirp.config file is corrupt. Find, delete, and restart Chirp. It might be somewhere in C:\Users<you>\AppData\Roaming\Chirp.
