I read the instructions above:

Description

Trying to "Download From Radio" with BF UV5X3 and I get "An Error Has Occurred - Radio identifies as BTECH UV-5X3. Please choose the proper vendor/model and try again."

Using FTDI Cable.
Correct Port
Latest build.

I have attached the debug log file.
I'm using a MacBook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G65)

I apologize. Operator error on that one. I didn't realize "BTECH" was listed, I had selected "Baofeng".

Now I am receiving an error of Error reading data from radio: not the amount of data we want.

Tried again and it worked fine. Then tried again and still worked.
I apologize for the false alarm.

William,

BTech radio models sold by BaofengTech (the radio dealer in the USA) are not manufactured by BaoFeng (the radio manufacturer in China). So as you have discovered, they are listed separately under the Vendor: BTECH.
