Description

I just got a programming cable for my 7800, and started programming it with chirp. With 1000 memories and 20 banks this radio can be programmed for everything once, and by using the hyper memories function you can change between usage scenarios extremely easy.

The problem is that each hypermemory, even if it loads a specific bank with channels that have their skip settings set, has its own skip settings, that CHIRP ignores and doesn't allow to edit.

The FTB7800 software for example has 5 columns called "Scn/Skp Hyper X" where X is 1 to 5, so you can edit this property for each hypermemory. This seems like the best way to do this. Chirp seems to allow editing of the skip flag only for hypermemory 1.

After playing with other paid software for the FT-7800 seems CHIRPs support is partial and not complete.

Other than the hypermemories that included a lot of settings other than skip flags, there's also no scan range memories support which is quite important. Going through the FTB7800 software menus is easy to understand what features are not implemented in CHIRP.
