Description

New Chirp user. I was able to download the memory entries from the radio into Chirp. However, on upload, the status bar got about half way and then froze. I've attached the log in case that's helpful. I'm using MacOS 10.13.6.

Have you been able to resolve this on your own since you submitted this?

This looks like a cable issue. Please refer to these Wiki articles:
CableGuide
CableGuide FTDI OEM Cables
[RTSystemsCablesAndMavericks]

MacOS: this OS is apparently very picky about USB to Serial cables. From what I heard, only (genuine) FTDI-based cables can be made work.
You must have the KK7DS Python runtime for Mac OSX installed.

Now, there's a dilemma with this particular radio. At least under Windows, it doesn't cooperate with (even genuine) FTDI adapters, it wants a Prolific. Unter MacOS, this might mean a no-go...

The Icom driver's serial code has recently been reviewed. Please try again and let us know. For now, I'll close this ticket, but we can reopen if needed.
