Bug #6487
closedMac Mojave and BAOFENG GT-3WP not able to program radio
100%
Description
- What is the behavior you are seeing?
Unable to program two new BAOFENG GT-3WP radios. CHIRP sees the radios, and is able to pull down the image. However, I’m unable to load and use channel setups (imported from CSV taken from UV-5RTP or BF-F8HP or entered manually in the GT-3WP image). I get errors when changing the config. I am able to change some of the setting under Basic or Advance settings, but they don’t appear to be used by the radio.
What is the behavior you were expecting?
Because the CHIRP “supported radios” page lists BAOFENG GT-3WP as supported I assumed it would be, and configurations could be updated using the software. Can you reproduce the problem all the time?
Yes, on both the GT-3WP radios i have. my UV-5RTP and BF-F8HP radios work fine with CHIRPWhat are the steps required to reproduce the problem?
Connect radio and pull image from it. Try to manually add a channel or add channels from a CSV file exported from the UV-5RTP or BF-F8HP. When exiting a manually entered frequency get “Tuning Step 12.50 Not Supported” error, or if pasting in copied channels from a diff radio it fails to paste. Is this specific to a certain radio model (driver) or something that you can reproduce with another radio?
So far CHIRP works fine with UV-5RTP or BF-F8HP but doesn’t work with the GT-3WP radios.
FYI: Using a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) running Mojave 10.14.3 and CHIRP daily-20190220.
